New Client Process
We call it the "EPIC" process. It isn't long, but we put it to work for you.
E - Explore and FIT Meeting (Complimentary)
It's free! How can you say "no" to free? We will get to know you and your family. You will get to know our philosophy and strategy. There are usually a lot of questions. Bring them on!
- When can I retire?
- How do I save for college?
- How do all of my accounts fit in to a plan?
- How do I manage Social Security?
- What am I missing?
- Are my investments on track?
Together, we will explore whether your needs and goals are a fit for the services we provide. We understand: sometimes it's a match, sometimes it isn't. Sometimes, you're ready to move quickly. Other times, you need more time to think. We are not here to build up our numbers; we are here to build relationships and service your wealth management needs.
It's okay and you should ask. What are your fees? It depends, but generally we are compensated from 3 main ones:
- Flat fee financial planning
- Investment portfolio fee-based
- Hourly financial advice
P - Planning Meeting
It's nuts and bolts time. We will lay out your current status, where you are lacking and where you can enhance or adjust. We aren't brewing coffee, but we'll propose a personalized "blend" of assets that are based on your life stage and risk tolerance. We talk about it. Uncomfortable, with "hazelnut" in your coffee, let's switch out to "cinnamon." Ask any questions you like.
Our philosophy is to:
Invest according to the client's goals, understand the job of each investment, use diversification to manage risk and adjust the portfolio when appropriate.
I - Implementation Meeting
Procrastination doesn't live here. Time to implement. You might have some tasks to accomplish, but our team will handle most of it.
C - Continual Reviews
We schedule meetings (in office or by phone) with our clients throughout the year. Frankly though, we talk with some clients every few weeks and some only bi-annually. You will be great at telling us what you need.
The Strategic and Tactical Review incorporates:
- Family Updates
- Occupational Changes
- Recreational Goals and Plans
- Net Worth Review
- Retirement Income Planning
- Proactive Tax Planning
- Insurance Review
- Charitable Planning
- Portfolio Adjustments
- Beneficiary Review
- Estate Plan Review
The economic environment and your life changes, so your "blend" may need to change with it.
*There is no guarantee that a diversified portfolio will enhance overall returns or out-perform a non-diversified portfolio.
Diversification does not protect against market risk.
